I thought earlier in the auction, the bidder names were
not cloaked. Am i thinking of another auction? I thought
i saw one name i recognized, probably not a list member.
The only thing that kinda surprises me, is that altho the photos
are simply not very good, the set does not look in
exceptional condition.

You can see by the bidder's question that at least one
bidder hardly knows anything about radio. Remember,
this is an auction house, and anyone can walk in and
take a number. Even someone who didn't know they
wanted a BC-348, ten minutes ago.

I recall the Muchow auction from Chicagoland some
years back. He was another soup to nuts collector with
a seeming mission to create an important museum.
Which idea was a castle built of sand. His MBM sold
at auction for $4000. A half year later, the bidder had
regrets, and sold it for $2500. Another lesson is, it's
easy to buy high. Also, $1000 is just not that much money,
and it's easier to spend it day in and day out on things that
have zero appreciation.
Just think of your computers from the recent past, what
are they worth now?
