[Milsurplus] Command Sets VFO ID ?

I have a "Command Set" VFO with a large plastics frequency scale disk
on front - the width of the set - backed by some new gear works with an
actual split-tooth gear. The scale is quite well calibrated for 80-40-20-20.
The scale also has in small type, "W8OVL" ( i think i recall.) It has the
PA tune capacitor removed. Was this VFO part of the WRL or other
early SSB rig? Or was this a published "conversion"; if so, where?

Also- if anyone has a scrapper tx to sell, i need one for the top (whole) cover
and bottom plate, for the above unit. Black.

I didn't set out to collect "Command Set conversions" ( famous last words)
but now i have the "Command Set modulation scope", Command Set SSB
transmitter; and this Command Set VFO. I am thinking eventually a BC-453
receiver with a converter for 80 or 40 - all Command Sets SSB station. "SSB
for under $50 !" I guess that would be called SCR-274-X1. -Hue Miller
