Thanks for the offer but my aim is to have the actual units on hand for the demo and I don't own a -194. (And before you offer to sell me one, if I bring another green radio home any time soon, I will probably be required to reside with them in the garage.)

The crystal set packed with NIB Navy DAV units
is marked indicating they were to be used in the
transmitter upon which the DAV homed,
pointing to use as a rallying and assembly tool.
Reasonable to assume the Army units had
the same idea.
IMHO, you would be missing out if you
forgot the early WWII infantry portable
radios like the SCR-194 and SCR-288.
Want some photos?
(Uh, uh SCR-284 fans; that lumbering hulk
of a radio takes a whole company to tote it ;-).
