No doubt, it was.  Dan Gallery and two of his three brothers became USN Rear Admirals, but Dan was the published author and the wit in the family, especially after retiring in 1960.

The USS Gallery (FFG-26) was named after all three brothers.  Unfortunately, its service in the USN was rather short (1981 to 1996) before being sold to Egypt.  Dan Gallery's service in the USN was three times as long!
