Sometimes I find a BC-348 with an "hammified" AC supply but otherwise
undrilled/uncut and in good cosmetic condition for a fairly low price at a
hamfest. Also, sometimes I see very dingy/corroded looking ones and pull
them out of the cabinet just to find the original dynamotor in them. Just
because of the looks I picked up a few of these for under $50. Marrying
the dynamotors to the good looking ones (after i get rid of the AC supply)
gives me fairly decent looking "original" receivers.
A few times I also picked up virtual wrecks of BC-348's for next to
nothing, but they had the shock mount.
Now I have a few nice looking BC-348's with the shock mount and the
dynamotor...
The same story with BC-312's...
