Respectfully again, I find that very hard to believe.
Where would one put a ship's compass in the cockpit of a P-38?
What if the pilot needed to roll inverted?
And why would it be any better than the aircraft's own compass?
I still support the ZB as the only viable option,
given the time and mission.
