Gents:

      All these postings on V1 and V2 stories reminded me:  Von Braun's boss at Peenemunde, Dr. Walter Dornberger, LTG in Wehrmacht, wrote a book on his experiences in the rocket development program.  Titled, "V-2", it was published by Viking Press in 1954.  Fascinating read if you can find a copy.

Wow, pretty scarey sound effects. The whole discussion
reminds me now that i heard a review of a  new book on the
V-missile campaign, some months back. I think i am going
to look that up.
Dave, just curious, do you know, were all the V-1 painted
with the checkerboard pattern, or was that only test models?
