Well, "Volume 1" says "Receivers and Transceivers", and that's
just what it has. So i expect "Volume 2" would have been the
ART-13, BC-610, the transmitter for the SCR-508 etc. FM sets.
I just noticed the book calls the "RU" instead, "GF-11".
Maybe after they published it, they realized what a horrid mess
they had made, and wisely realized it was too late to straighten it
out. Also, if you just bought a surplus TCS, what's the wisdom of
having to look up the schematics in 2 different books? Also the
basic premise of the book - some of the more complex schematics
are just too crowded to be any use at all to working on the gear. So
the only real usefulness of a non-massive book collection of
photos and schematics is just to aid in familiarizing the surplus
hound to what's out there, but the book doesn't do a halfway
decent job of that either. What it is, is a quaint curio from a certain
time.
Jack, the book you have, what's the pub date on it?
