Did you also notice the nameplate says it is manufactured
by Western Electric? I don't believe Western Electric ever
made any BC-348s. My best guess it is a nameplate off
a BC-229 or 429, and the lettering obscured during the
printing process.
I have two editions of the book in question, the earlier
one says Volume one on the title page, the later one leaves
that out. Wonder what was planned for subsequent volumes?
