Pete
More information:
39179 is listed in the RCA SK Solid State Replacement Directory, 1986.

It is replaced by SK3021:
35 Watt
Ic = 2amps
Vcbo = 500V
Vceo = 300V
Vceo = 6V
hfe = 140
TO-66 package

Does this sound right?
How is your winter so far?
Regards,
Jim

Pete
My Power Semiconductor D.A.T.A Book Edition 11 does not list the 39179
but it does list the 2N2204 which is in a T19 package much like a TO5
with a 6-32 stud on the bottom.

What package is the 39179?

So Pete, you are working on a Collins 51Y4 test set? Three phase 400
cycle inverter?
Regards,
Jim
