Pete
My Power Semiconductor D.A.T.A Book Edition 11 does not list the 39179
but it does list the 2N2204 which is in a T19 package much like a TO5
with a 6-32 stud on the bottom.

What package is the 39179?

So Pete, you are working on a Collins 51Y4 test set? Three phase 400
cycle inverter?
Regards,
Jim
