You are correct on the Evenson and Beach authors of the 1948 Volumes 
1 and 2.  I lumped those with the Volume 3 which was edited by Bill 
Orr in 1960.  All 3 published by Editors and Engineers.

Since the "Radio Handbook" seems to no longer be published, and Bill 
Orr is an SK, is Editors and Engineers still in business?
