I think there is quite a bit of what i call "local unit manufactured"
equipment out there. I'm sure there were at least typewritten
instruction sheets for them, but since the attrition rate for paper
is very high, it's rare to find these. In the past, i have seen an
AC supply for the RUGF and a dummy load for the BC-191. Also
i have seen rack-mounted conversions of the RBM and i owned
a Naval Shipyard AC-converted BC-348. I'm sure these last two
fulfilled a burning need, right? More like highly skilled workmen,
well paid, well equiped, and with excess unscheduled time on their
timesheets, who needed to be kept busy. -Hue Miller
