[Milsurplus] ARR-41

I guess I was just plain lucky to have picked up an ARR-15 for less
then $50.00 on eBay. It is complete except that it is missing the X
bracket that stiffens the chassis.

I got a second example up and running a week or two ago. This receiver
had the filament string rewired and was missing the autotune motor and
dynamotor. After returning the filament string to stock, learning how
to preset the autotune so that audio is enabled and jumper the IF amp
cathode to ground at the rear connector, it worked just fine.

There may be a slight problem with the two PTOs with respect to
linearity and end point adjustment but they seem to do the job.

I have an organ donor that I removed the autotune / PTO assembly from
to make up a test station. This unit was hacked up cable harness wise
when I got it for $10 at the Memphis Hamfest a couple of years age. If
anyone needs the rest, including the dust cover, it is free for
postage.

Regards,
Jim
