The Brits were far ahead of us on VHF techniques.  Their
radar shows that.  Bendix manufactured the 522, 638, 639,
and 640 under license.  I've encountered Air Associates VHF
in USAF back then, but it was aimed at the pre-war civilian
market.  The 24G tube was a modified TZ40, I'm told.  The
only item I have here is the Variac from the BC-640.  Any
body have a schematic of the RC-81, or an RC-81 for sale?
Maybe they're in the BC-640 book.
