AMEN !!  Or even bother to read the instructions.

The really sad thing is that a few like that can spread a myth that the BC-xxx
is ONLY usable after having all it's guts stripped........  Older radios are not
'appliances' like toasters and require some SKILL to set up and operate.

I wonder how many BC-1066s were bought and stripped for their case and dials?
Sadly far too many, IMO.
