Well, I hope that whoever is bidding on it doesn't let it go to the dump. If
it were the original version (MD-22/URA-T1 from 1944) I'd join the fray.

The original set (1944) was AN/MRQ-2, built around a modified SCR-399-B.
AN/GLQ-2 consists of about two-thirds of an AN/GRC-26-D (only one R-390) plus the
MD-22B, RT-260/GLQ-2 and a C-1455/GLQ-2, plus AN/VRC-21 which is essentially
a 12 volt AN/GRC-5 less the RT-70. All housed in the standard S-67 Shelter,
mounted on the Duece-and-a-Half du joure and powered by a PE-95.

MD-22B is the modulator (AKA audio generator). RT-260 is the victim signal
tracking receiver and exciter. The T-368/GRT is used as an RF power amplifier.
C-1455/GLQ-2 is a descendant of the JB-70, although I guess its immediate
ancestor is the C-1218/GR used with the AN/GRC-38.

As far as classification goes, I have all of the associated manuals except
the one on AN/MRQ-2, and none are classified.

Interesting that they would have built the MD-22 into a BC-620 case and
chassis. Guess that Galvin already knew it was going to be a dog after the War.
