It's a matter of mind-set.  To someone only familiar with modern 
equipment, and no appreciation or understanding of history, it indeed 
looks like a hopeless antique.  These people are children of their age, 
and simply lack education and understanding. (Yes, one can also be 
educated, and understand nothing.)
