Some of your stuff is now my stuff! And I'm happy! I think the trick is 
to (as Dave said) pick the specific sets and stick with them.The 
drawback is that there are so many to choose from.......

This is an absolute truth. Sadly, it seems to be one
of those things that has to be learned through direct,
personal experience. Or divorce. Or both.

So far, I can't get down to "2 or 3". I am under
50--including everything--radios, test gear, antenna
tuners and all. I was over 150 at one time, which is
when Dave's absolute truth became clear to me.

Ah well...
