[Milsurplus] Repair/tuning of modern mil rigs?

Does anyone out there do repair and/or tuning of
modern military radio equipment?  I know of plenty who
work on R-390a, Collins gear, ART-13s, etc., but when
it comes to 1970s and later technology, a lot of hams
just spare blankly into space and hope aliens come
down and fix their radios.. :)

I have a RT-524 that was demilled by removing a module
and the power amp tube.  I have since gotten the spare
parts required, but would prefer to find a
knowledgable individual familiar with the inner
workings of the VRC-12 series of radios to repair and
test the rig, to make sure  it is up to snuff, and to
prevent my tech class (for now) butt from blowing it
up.
