[Milsurplus] R-388/URR

Hi all...

One of my 388 receivers has a "BREAK-IN" switch in the place where the 
other one has a jack labeled "SPEAKER".  I am assuming this switch 
accomplishes the same thing as it does on the R-390, is that correct?  
My manual, TM 11-854 TO 16-35R-388-5 does not show this switch.   It 
shows the speaker jack.  Is the receiver with the "BREAK IN" switch the 
newer or older one?  Which TM do I need?
