It won't have any effect on an ADF. The ADF just looks for the
RF and doesn't care about modulation.
If you need to shed dark, call me and I'll send you one of my new
dark emitting diodes. Its normal use is as a function indicator
for my write-only memory. LOL

I'm pretty sure the Back-and-forth antenna system switching to make As
and Ns won't affect an ADF. It certainly won't affect a DF loop deal (no
sense antenna)
So range stations could have been used as homing beacons (NDBs) just as
well as BC stations or anything 'down there' in the right freq. range
& known location.
Does this shed any light or dark?
