As an MV guy, I'll say this is true. I'm also a 
re-enactor. Bill Max and a a few other guys in 
the Canadian Para group in the virginia area, are 
WS19 hams and they're slowly getting us 
configured with radios and kit. We started trying 
to use period british coms' methods at one of our 
recent re-enactments while using CB radios in 
stead of working ws19s because we don't have 
nearly enough ws19s that work yet. Lots of parts, 
but not enough time. Nice things is, we're slowly 
getting some of those guys into vehicles. Bill 
max has a CMP project he's working on to make a 
FFW CMP.

I wish we had a dedicated signals group doing 
just signals at WWII events. That'd be nice to 
have folks that we could hand a wad of cash or 
trade parts and or knowledge with for their 
expertise in their area. (Hint hint...)
