Jay,

I still have about half a dozen PE-206-C's left.  However, these are 
80VAC/800CPS inverters (27 VDC input, rated 500VA).  I must have sold nearly a dozen 
of them over the past sixteen years to people who were going to mostly use them 
to fire up a GP-7, all of whom promised to let me know how high the output 
voltage could be adjusted under load.  To date, I've heard nada.  So I still 
don't know whether they could be used to run a GP-6, GP-7, GO-9, etc.

And I have no idea on your other question.
