Couple things to comment on here.

According to Consolidated Vultee aircraft, Report ZM-32-O23 page 143E
for the Model B-24J block number 40 C.O., serial numbers 6485 through
6543, The C-1 Autopilot was installed on this series aircraft. It was
labeled "C-1 autopilot with formation stick" Drawings are dated in 1944.

The radio fuse information is on page 141Q and addresses the SCR-595-695
and RC-103 Radio at 10 amps. DOesn't give any other indication as to
what radio is onboard but this book addresses the Navy and Army B-24M's
even tho the front cover says B-24J.

Now in the Individual Radio Circuit Wiring Diagram report No. ZM-32-074
for the B-24M, same block number, ship number 5985 and on (A/C #
44-42049) it has the RC-36B radio interphone circuit, C-4/ARN-7, SCR-695
Radio recognition circuit which includes a BC-966 receiver, BC-767 or
BC-727 indicator and BC-958 control box. No Autopilot. These drawings
are also for 1944 but a different block of serial numbered aircraft.

The RC-103 Radio receiving system includes: BC-732 control box, Pilots
indicator I-101 and a BC-733 glide path receiver.

There is also an RC-43B Radio Marker beacon which consists of: Marker
Beacon indicator on Pilots instrument panel, BC-357 or BC-1033 Marker
beacon receiver with a couple of wires going to the Radio Compass
receiver which was the ARN-7 right?

There was also what's called an "Inter.Squadron" radio which was the
SCR-522.

Now if i go and look at T.O. AN-01-5EC-1, Pilots flight operating
Instructions for Army Models B-24-D, RB-24C and RB-24E, Navy Model
PB4Y-1, British Models Liberator BIII, BIIIA, BIV and GRV Airplanes,
November 1943, Revised May 1945 it shows:

RC-36 interphone system
SCR-274-N Command Radio
SCR-287-A Liason Radio
SCR-269-G Radio Compass
RC-43-B Marker Beacon
SCR-595 or SCR-695-A IFF
SCR-578-A Emergency Radio.

The same T.O for October 1944 shows the same list of equipment.

There is no mention in any of the electrical wiring diagrams i have for
the B-24D, C, E or Navy PBY4-1 versions of having the C-1 Autopilot.
Nor is it listed in the flight manuals i have through 1945.

Did this muddy up any water? Anybody know what the tail number was for
the Lady be Good right off the top of their head?
