[Milsurplus] RY-5

My BC-610-E is talking back well before the audio level has a chance to
produce 100% modulation. I understand this is usually coming from the
overload relay (RY-5) that is connected from the center tap of the power
transformer to ground. A fix of placing a capacitor of 100 - 200 uf @
something above 20 vdc has been suggested. Has anyone on this list used
this remedy? I'm also curious, wouldn't it be correct to ground the
positive side of the electrolytic and place the negative side at the
center tap? Any advice will be greatly appreciated as I have the back
off of this monster and I hate to zip it up and roll her back in place
without being more sure of the remedy. I do not have the cover for the
relays in that particular set, so I get the full impact of the audio
through the relay coil.

Thanks,
Rick
