John,

My AN/GRR-5 and accessories are all over at Storage and I never recorded the 
wire gauge in my database.  But that particular cable was made for PP-308/URR 
for operation from 6/12/24 VDC.  So at least as much as the PP-308 draws at 6 
volts.  However, my recollection is that the cable isn't very large.

The connector family and the Vietnam era equivalent are rated for probably 40 
amps, just considering what they were used on.
