[Milsurplus] Germans and collecting

One thing I have noticed about our military radio collecting hobby,
mostly based on what I see sold on Ebay (my goods or otherwise), is
that military radio collecting seems not to be a big thing in Germany.
I see a majority things traded back and forth from the UK, France,
Canada, Italy and the Netherlands, and maybe a bit to Japan.
I suppose I have some theories why. One, the Germans have a more
strict privacy policy on Ebay and elsewhere, so maybe I am not seeing
transactions and such, but I must say that of the thousands of sales I
have done, not a single radio item went to Germany. Being part of a
sale would pierce the veil of privacy, as I would be part of the deal,
but this has not happened (although I have made numerous sales to
Germany for other electronic items).
Two, I suppose the classic US sets may not be welcome in Germany. For
every 100 sales of Allied gear is 1 sales of Axis gear, so maybe I am
just not seeing the little trickle of stuff. Or is the demand just not
there?
Comments?
Is there something I am missing?
