[Milsurplus] Command Set, Conversion thererof

Hi to all:

Just a short anecdote to the (now old) string which discussed where some of 
our old surplus eqpt might have actually served.  A few years ago I acquired 
a BC-696-A that had been in service with the RCAF judging from the RCAF 
Inspection sticker dated 16 Aug 54 on the chassis.  It also came with an 
RCAF Workshop Repair Tag dated 15 Jan 61 showing that the Tx came to the 
Workshop for repair out of RCAF Beechcraft (C-45) 2306.  What really 
fascinated me was that I discovered, on checking my logbook, that I had 
actually flown 2306 in 1968!  All the Command stuff had been removed from 
RCAF Bugsmashers by then, but I now I can look at my trusty 696 and know 
where it had been in service once upon a time.

Thought this little story was worth relating.
