[Milsurplus] Field Day with Vintage Gear

Hi,

The weather on Field Day was a bummer around here. The local club I hooked
up with moved their operation from the field to their permanent shack, and
they "downsized" the natural power rig I was going to bring(hand-cranked
TBX).

Went to work on Saturday, chased WWII Marine Radio op Norm K1AA at W1SE
around 20m CW with my TCK/RBC after work(only heard him once, calling
another station), spent evening with family. Got up Sunday, worked W1SE on
20 CW, visited my farm intern who broke her leg on Saturday, went to a
neighbor's birthday party, then got on 40 CW from my car with the TCS and
worked a half-dozen guys just to prove the concept. Then went to a
friend's housewarming party, to be sure that I would be fresh and perky for
the salvage trip with the Historic Naval Ships group on Monday morning at
the former Philly Naval Ship Yard.

All in all, not a bad weekend.
