[Milsurplus] Mods and hacking of NOS gear

My $0.02 worth: If it's NOS, I leave it alone. I want to align it and optimize it per spec. I like to work w/the gear as it was, even if that means marginal performance. It makes me appreciate all the more what the ops had to contend with back then. Not so sensitive or selective? OK by me. Not everything was a "Ferrari". 

TO ME (emphasis added), modifying a NOS rig is like taking white-out to a Picasso because you don't like both eyes on the same side of the face.
