It's neither...

It's a Navy RBM-(*) receiver, and most likely it's a Westinghouse contract.
The RBM-(*) consists of 2 receivers which are identical except for the
frequency coverage, the low band one is .2 to 2 MHz and the high band is 2 -
20 MHz. The receiver pair is part of a semi-portable system which includes
the TBW transmitter, and accessories/ancillary equipment like power
supplies, generator, antenna, etc in shipping/carrying crates, which double
as the operating table in the field.

The specimen you're referring to is missing the nomenclature plate and the
knobs are not original, except for the band switch and tuning knobs.
