I am trying to remember: is the PE-95 that single-cylinder, 2500 
watt, belt-driven job, or is it the much larger 10KW job with the 
"Jeep" engine in it?

If it is the latter, then engine is a common one used in MANY, 
MANY combines and other farm equipment. 

It is a standard industrial engine of some kind.

I found every part I needed for one of those I re-built for fellow to 
haul up to the Juneau Icefield Research Project at our local Farm 
Supply outlet.

If it is the smaller, 2500 watt job, as I remember THAT one, it didn't 
HAVE a separate magneto, but that was built into the flywheel 
housing like on a modern lawnmower engine.

Furthermore, it used a "pre-combustion" chamber into which the 
spark plug mounted,
