[Milsurplus] SCR 399 & SCR 499...jeep mobile

OK, along this line, was the half-track mounted version of the SCR-299 shown 
in the one of the Green Books an authorized, recognized (or whatever) version 
of the system?   Or, maybe an expedient field
lash up? (Way to go, guys!)   Picture caption sez North Africa as I remember. 
  Nothing in my TM 11-280 on this configuration.
