For me, the first step would be to make a fume box (any box large enough to hold the manual 
suspended with the pages fanned out). Next, spray a good amount of Lysol in the box so the 
fumes can get on the pages. Leave it alone at least over night. The Lysol should kill the mold.

I have done this several times with books that have gotten mildewed and/or moldy.....works for 
me.
