I would never denigrate this transmitter as useless. It keys very well 
with no chirp or clicks that I can hear, and has about 200 Watts output. 
   The TBW is an advanced-base transmitter, and the antenna is a 
two-wire inverted L, 45 feet high and 200 feet long, with a two-wire 
counterpoise under it. The GO-9 aircraft transmitter is similar, but I 
believe is designed for shorter antennas.  If you use the 800 cycle 
power supply it is less of a problem than getting good keying with a 60 
cycle supply. (and looks better)
