Good morning and Happy New Year!
Has anyone had any experience with omitting the 40 mfd @ 100 wvdc (C27)
electrolytic capacitor in the "E" model BC-610? The text in the later
models explains this capacitor was no longer used as a by pass to the
750 ohm resistor (R20) and this improved the linearity. I assume it is
in the circuit to keep AF out of the supply. I'm wondering if the
removal of this capacitor would have an adverse affect on any other
circuitry that I am overlooking? The old metal style paper electrolytic
that's in mine is no longer usable and I am trying to decide whether or
not to replace it.
Thanks,
Rick
