[Milsurplus] Modulator...

Good morning and Happy New Year!

Has anyone had any experience with omitting the 40 mfd @ 100 wvdc (C27) 
electrolytic capacitor in the "E" model BC-610?  The text in the later 
models explains this capacitor was no longer used as a by pass to the 
750 ohm resistor (R20) and this improved the linearity.  I assume it is 
in the circuit to keep AF out of the supply.  I'm wondering if the 
removal of this capacitor would have an adverse affect on any other 
circuitry that I am overlooking?  The old metal style paper electrolytic 
that's in mine is no longer usable and I am trying to decide whether or 
not to replace it.
