I don't think it's too fantastical to have both DU and ZB onboard. Flying

the long oversea stretches of the WW2 Pacific, you would probably want

both - not all island fields had the YG set, i'd say.  If i recall correctly, from
 
scrutinizing a China facilities list,  most fields there did not have YG 

facitlities - maybe similar situation for Pacific islands.

Here's a question - if the "flight leader" or squadron leader or lead

plane, or whatever it was called, DID have ZB, and this plane decided

the course for the rest of the flight, did the other planes also carry

ZB also? Seems they would have to, in case they were separated, or

the flight leader went down.  -Hue Miller
