[Milsurplus] DU-1 DF Loop

Well now,
The RU-18/19 was (is) a two receiver set. You could possibly have a DU on one rx and a ZB on the other. (I have plans (but no time!) to build this config.) I have built and displayed an ARB with a DU and ZB at the MRCG meet 5 or 6 years ago. I think Patricia Gibbons (armyradios)? got a good photo of the setup. I had the test set oscillator for the ARR-1/ZB working with the ZB to demo the system. The test set was checked out on an HP spectrum analyzer and was in spec within cycles, really amazing for 60+ year old equipment! I had to "fudge" a switch box to switch the "sense" antenna between the DU and the ARB antenna connector. I used "ARC-5" antenna binding posts and an era switch, most likely from a BC-191/375 tuning unit in a "BUD" box painted in black wrinkle.
BTW the DU in the ARB setup has had the original "output" connector replaced with a JK-259.It is an easy mod, it fits, and you just need to drill two small holes, not four. This one was modded by a previous owner, not me. I just used his /her mod to my advantage.
I have two more DU's slated for future RU/GF and RU/RU projects. Do I do the same mod to these two DU's for the sake of convenience or do I (we) convince Mike to do a "limited production run" of these quite unique connectors?
As long as I'm here, I'll put out a request: Recent acquisition: Bendix TA-12B. Need manuals, connectors, dyno/modulator, etc. This one is cherry except that the RF Ammeter has been bypassed.
And as long as I'm in the asking mood, I'm also looking for the Intermediate Frequency Transmitter for the GO-9. Or, if that doesn't pan out, documentation that the GO-9 was supplied sans this tx section.
Also, in regard to the GO-9, I have received some documentation describing modifications to enable the GO-9 to provide "RCM" capability. The descriptions and instructions do not elaborate on what "RCM" in Navy terms means. I believe it to be a "jamming" role. More details welcome.
That's a plate full!
Thanks and regards to all,
Jay KE6PPF

You could always substitute a ZB-2 or -3 homing receiver "converter" in place of the DU. The ZB will fit in place of the RU tube cover. But the ZB's associated control and relay boxes are hard to find, about like the DU. Does anyone know if any single USN aircraft installation employed both a DU and a ZB?
I've got just about everything I need for a fantasy USN setup consisting of an ARB, a ZB-3 (clipped on top of the ARB), an ATD, a DU-2, and a LM-20. I call it a "fantasy" because I don't have a warm feeling that any ATDs were ever actually placed in service, nor would an LM-20 normally be found in an aircraft, nor would it be likely, IMO, that both a DU and a ZB would be part of the same installation. But the gear looks neat all together.
Somehow, technology-wise the ATD seems to be a natural match for the ARB. The ATC seems way too advanced to waste with the limited capability ARB, even though that was the most common combo.
BTW, anyone needing the CRV-60025 metering box for the ATB (the intended mate for the ARB), someone has one at:
