ATTENTION BC-610 GURU:
I need help from a BC-610-E/614/342/312 Guru. I have searched numerous
manuals and schematic diagrams and have been unable to find a "DC"
source in the BC-342/312 receiver for the antenna relay (RY101) in the
BC-614-C. The manual states RY101 is a 12 volt DC relay and it derives
its power from the BC-342 or BC-312 receiver. I can find a 12 volt AC
source that connects to the BC-614-C, but no rectification is performed
in either the receiver or the speech amplifier. I have attached a 12
VDC supply to the appropriate connections on the BC-614-C and the reply
works flawlessly. What am I missing? Will this relay operate on AC
voltage as well? If so, why do they distinguish it on several places as
a DC relay? All help will be greatly appreciated.
I have also been unable to find a wiring diagram of the cable used to
attach the speech amplifier and receivers. Of course, it can be
deciphered from the schematics, but if anyone knows the pin out or has a
diagram or can tell me where I have overlooked this I would be forever
grateful.
