[Milsurplus] Power Unit type 173

I have an Air Ministry 10K/293 Type 173 Power Unit, and I do not know
what it is for. It is about half the size of an SCR-522 power unit -
same footprint but only half as high. 24 VDC into a dynamotor, and HT
out (not sure how much). The power input is a standard AM plug (2 pin,
with a 1 inch shell), and the power outputs are just two little
individual one hole sockets, almost like for small banana plugs.

Anyone know what this is for?
