Wouldn't an overcoupled design provide a wider rather than a narrower 
response.  Wouldn't Loosely coupled provides the most narrow bandwidth?  
Seems like I recall overcoupled resulted in a double hump response.  Let us 
know what removing the pi winding does for you.
