In the past, I've tuned up both radios for MV owners. But never tried them
on 10. Don't forget that the ITU (i.e., the French) changed the rules since
the War. You can't legally operate them below 29.0 MC.
That's probably why the Army abandoned the 20.0-27.9 MC Armor band and why no
direct replacement was built for the RT-66/GRC or RT-174/PRC-8. And come to
think of it, might be why the repair manual (TM 11-4065A) on the A-models of
the backpack sets only covers the -9A and -10A.
