Group - BC-348 revival
Reading TM-12R2-3BC-112 revised 1955
1. The symmetry of the resonance curve is adjustable by the balancing
capacitor 8.
2. The filter band width is adjustable by the Secondary core of the
first IF transformer 117.
As delivered by the manufacturer the filter band width is set at
approximately 2000 cycles.
After reading the Manual:
The Secondary core adjustment is not pointed out.
I assume that the bottom screws are the Secondary adjustment ?
I assume that the Primary (TOP) is adjusted for 915 + 1000 cycles =
916kc
The Secondary (Bottom) is adjusted to 915 - 1000 cycles = 914kc
How to adjust the resonance curve using balancing capacitor 8.
I assume this is at the stated 915kc?
I assume further you adjust the capacitor for peek output at 915Kc ?
What instruments do you suggest out side a scope and signal
generator: Tek 475M, URM-25D, 30,000 Ohm/Volt Meter.
I have other problems with the Oscillator on band 6, and the Antenna
unit first RF on (All bands) but will save this for later discussions.
So first things first.
I wish we had a web site full of these pearls of wisdom: General
knowledge, History and usage, and Set specific. Oh yes , Fur Sale or Trade.
Thank you
Hutch
