[Milsurplus] RAL Receiver

I finally got my RAL fully working, and am reliving my mis-spent youth
through regeneration. The last fault was a silver-mica that I put in.
(gonna throw all of 'em away) I find it's as sensitive as any receiver
in the shack, and better than some.
The RAK/RAL power supply was another adventure. The power transformer
has input taps for 110, 115, and 120 volts, which is good. (changed to
120) The filter has three 3 mfd paper capacitors, and the chokes are in
the negative lead from the transformer center tap, which is unusual for
a receiver. I had to add capacitance on the end to stop motorboating,
so I must have improved the audio amplifier. It has curious design
choices; the VR tube passes 33 ma, and the bleeder resistor passes 10
ma, which are pretty heavy for a receiver load of 25-30 ma, so I reduced
the VR current to 10 ma, and the bleeder to 3 ma. It also had three
carbon resistors mounted directly under a fiber board running at their
full Watt rating, so it's no surprise they were bad and broken. I am
not sure about the heater winding, but it looks like this power supply
will supply two receivers without breaking a sweat.
