The RA-1B seems to bring that kind of price (or greater) if it hasn't been too molested.  It's an interesting design.  I have one with only a few internal audio mods...I think I'll eventually be able to restore it.

That's a great question.  I think it was a natural to pair up with the TA-2J...but that is a pretty large and high power unit.  I don't know what smaller Bendix transmitter, if any, might have also been intended to match up with the RA-1.  Anyone have a suggestion?
