Best I cud gess is the jungle.  The 2-4 mc stuff is about all that gets
out with lo power

That's p/o reason Rangers got '109s after, apparrantly, using up  or
losing patience all
their RS-6s. (oral tradition)

Also DuMont went back into print w. BC-186/7/8 set in eartly '42. 
Stillwell's
Chindits were using things successfully while building Burma Rd. (1st
green book)

There's might be a Korea story about going back to BC-611s & throwing
PRC-6s away.
