Rick that's 'way better freq. response than 2-way radio.  In fact, it's
AM BC quality & probably @ 35 lbs suited for a 250W BC stn.  (ie - 
125w wide-range audio)

I'd angle a corner down & get the solder blob (?) on the bottom.

Then 'meg' the thing by putting a HV plate xfrmr with enuf piv across 
case and either winding.  Make sure it's "fused" with a light bulb.

If light stays off, you've arrived.

Oh and BTW.  If you keep everything below 300hz outa the thing it's
probably good for 3x the power.  That is, u cud modulate a ham KW.
