John:

I am not familiar with the air version, but those simply require single phase power from the two sources, which have a commom ground. It needs to be near the same voltage for best accuracy (+/- 10%), and what you need to know is what voltage the instrument runs on, and which pin is which (one is common). An ohmmeter should show something like a low value resistor with a center tap. The CT is the common. One connection to the other two pins will make the pointer rotate one way, reversing the inputs makes it go the other. There is a convention for direction of rotation vs. low/high, but I don't have that documentation. Next question, since it is aircraft, is it 60 Hz or 400 (or 800) Hz?

I'm familiar with the big power plant jobs ~ 10" dia. which run on 60 Hz.
