They didn't get the Royal Signals nameplate from Lend Lease.  Everyone 
of the BC-640's I ever
used, which was a lot, and the "B's", were marked that way.  Bendix 
manufactured them under
British License.  They inputted 50 Watts with 24G's.  The transmitter 
ran on 220 vac, had a
"Variac" to manually adjust the voltage, and a 110-220 autotransformer 
in the bottom or the
rack for 110 mains.  Versatile.   Last BC-640 I saw was 1966 when I left 
USAF.
